Try not to use paper. I have found some very delightful and well designed plastic tea cups that look like china. Also some sliver plastic forks and spoons. You do not have to keep to the season. That's what's so nice about a tea party. It is to bring good friends together and share a warm drink, some sweet delights(small cookies will do) and friendship the old fashion way.

Dear Lady Estelle,
Should I worry about seasonal decorations? The reason why I am asking is that I do not have alot of money and I was wondering
if the seasonal decor would be a problem. I also do not have very many tea sets. Do you think it inappropriate to use some of the fancy paper cups and plates?

Greetings Norma,
I always find that fresh flowers are the best decorations to a tea.

I also like to use a matching tea pot filled with silk roses will do just nicely.
